For the adventurous who love to explore the rawness and mystery that nature has to offer, Funday Holidays brings forward the wonderful, energy-packed Triund Trek trip. This is considered a beautiful experience for those who love to sweat it out, get rugged and it gets more happening if you have an adventurous group to tag along with.

If there is a creative artist within you, capture the icy magic of the Kangra valley and the snow-covered Dhauladhar ranges. For those, who long to have a glimpse of the Himalayas, this is a sweet spot for your trekking dreams. Have a weekend to spare, and we can arrange this for you!

The trek is steep but not something that you cannot accomplish. This trekking path is blessed with the plush growth of rhododendrons, pine, and coniferous trees. Trekking through the forest and the grand opening of the ridge right until the end of the tree line is a sight to witness. Well, if you are an environmentalist, the flora and fauna are vibrant and you can see some rare birds if you are lucky. And by the way, never miss the sunset, as it is much more beautiful than literature can convey.

Once you reach the  Delhi Airport/Railway station, you will be guided by our travel expert and drive to Dharamshala which is a 12-14 hours of journey. Check in to the hotel, and rest for the day. In the evening, it would be a great idea to take a stroll in and around the local market.

  2. 2

The next day right after breakfast, head towards the local sightseeing tour of Mcleodganj. Explore Dal Lake, Naddi, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Tibetan Monastery, and The Holiness “Dalai Lama Temple”. There are large idols of Buddha and the charming church of St. John in the wilderness. Dharamshala was the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India during the 19th century. Ancient temples like Chamunda, Jwalamukhi, Brijeshwari lie on the plains below Dharamshala. Enjoy your dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

  3. 3

On Day 3, morning would kick start right after breakfast and then head towards Triund which is around 5-6 hours of Trek from the base. Take a pit stop at Magic View Cafe on your way through Triund and chill around for half an hour.

  4. 4

On the last day, enjoy a great North Indian breakfast, checkout from the hotel, and retreat back to Delhi. From there, you can continue your journey.

Very Good

Triund hill is a beautiful location providing breathtaking views of dhauladhar range. The view throughout the trek is took us 2.5 hours uphill. The last 20 minutes are a bit tough. The view from the top was worth the labor. The visit to McLeod is incomplete without this trek. Took us 2 hours while come down. And thanks to the team Funday holidays for arranging this wonderful experience.
