Pandoh Dam

Enroute Manali from Kullu, you will come across the Pandoh dam. The huge construction across the Beas river was completed in 1977. It is a hydroelectric project that generates 990 watts of power. Tourists throng the place to enjoy the view from the top of the dam. It is one of those moments when you come to revere the human skill to tame the wild power of mother nature. There is a rafting trip down the lower bed for those who are interested in adding some action to the Kullu tour.
