Kanyakumari Devi Temple

Kanyakumari Devi Temple, home for Goddess Devi Kanya Kumari is regarded as one of the blessed temples in the world.  It is believed that the temple was built 3000 years back and is famed as one of 51 Shakti Peethas of Goddess Shakthi.  As per mythology, the corpse of Goddess Sati was spread across the Indian subcontinent and the places where it fell are now holy places of worship.
